Job summary

Willett Distillery in Bardstown, KY seeks a Barkeep to craft and serve beverages, manage bar stock, and prep ingredients to ensure a smooth opening. You will contribute to cocktail menu development and uphold health and safety standards while delivering a memorable guest experience.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 or older to apply.
• Knowledge of drink preparation or service required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills required.
• Ideal candidates enjoy continuous education and repetitive daily tasks.
• Must demonstrate honesty, ethical judgment, diligence and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to the development of the cocktail menu in collaboration with the Beverage Director and team.
• Receives orders from patrons and waitstaff. Prepares and serves liquor, cocktails, wine, beer, and nonalcoholic drinks as ordered.
• Ensures ingredients and garnishes are prepared ahead of bar opening.
• Ensures specialty ice is prepared, cut and restocked.
• Maintains the bar — clean, organized and compliant with health codes.
• Displays glasses and liquor bottles attractively.
• Collects money from customers for drinks prepared and served.
• Checks IDs to ensure customers are of legal drinking age; refuses service when needed.
• Demonstrates responsible alcohol consumption and complies with laws and policies.
• Submits orders or creates requisition forms for liquor, beer, and bar supplies.
• Conveys a positive, professional image of the brand at all times.
• Observes workflow efficiency and reports observations to GM for improvement.
