Coastal Alaska Premier Seafoods is seeking deck hands for Crab Catcher vessels operating in the Pacific Ocean, Gulf of Alaska, Bering Sea, and Aleutian Islands. This is a non-sedentary, safety-sensitive seasonal role requiring long shifts (12–24 hours) and successful completion of required safety drills and background checks.

Qualifications

  • Applicants must be willing to be away from home for extended periods.
  • Must successfully pass a background check, drug test and reference check.
  • Must pass safety drills, training and education required by regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Sort crab by species/size/color/sex to meet quality standards.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working and living environment.
  • Assist in offloads and load/unload supplies; crane operator certification may be required.
  • Move live seafood and operate machines as needed on deck.
  • Work 12–16 hour shifts, up to 24 hours as conditions require.
