Job summary

Coastal Alaska Premier Seafoods is seeking deck hands for Crab Catcher vessels operating in the Pacific Ocean, Gulf of Alaska, Bering Sea, and Aleutian Islands. Responsibilities include sorting crab by species, maintaining a safe deck, assisting in offloads, and moving live seafood while complying with quality standards.

This is a non-sedentary, safety-sensitive seasonal role requiring long shifts (12–24 hours) and successful completion of required safety drills and background checks.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be willing to be away from home for extended periods.
• Must successfully pass a background check, drug test and reference check.
• Must pass safety drills, training and education required by regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

• Sort crab by species/size/color/sex to meet quality standards.
• Maintain a safe and clean working and living environment.
• Assist in offloads and load/unload supplies; crane operator certification may be required.
• Move live seafood and operate machines as needed on deck.
• Work 12–16 hour shifts, up to 24 hours as conditions require.
