Job summary

Trident Seafoods is seeking a deckhand for our fishing vessel operations in Alaska. You will assist with deck tasks, safety drills, and cargo handling, under supervision of Captain and Deck Boss, while upholding Trident policies.

Qualifications include at least 1 year on a fishing vessel, basic firefighting skills, and valid licenses or STCW endorsements. You must be able to work in challenging maritime conditions and maintain safety standards at all times.

Qualifications

• 1 year minimum experience on a fishing vessel.
• Basic firefighting skills required.
• Licenses/permits of trade (e.g., CG license, STCW endorsement) when required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with pre-season and day-to-day deck operations.
• Direct and oversee launching/retrieval of skiff.
• Operate cranes, hooks, anchor winches, and lifting devices safely.
• Load and stow vessel supplies; stand watch if needed.
• Follow safety procedures during emergencies and keep policies up to date.
