Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced Life Sciences Project Manager to lead commissioning, qualification, and validation projects from concept to closure in the Illinois area. You will coordinate design, installation, start-up, and commissioning activities with clients and internal teams, ensuring on-time delivery within scope and budget.

Candidates should hold a BS in a STEM field and at least five years of project management in life sciences, with travel willingness to install and start-up sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in biology, chemistry, engineering, mathematics, or another STEM field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Minimum of five years of commissioning, qualification, validation, and project management experience in life sciences applications.
• Experience managing project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, forecasts, and project documentation.
• Experience supporting life sciences projects through design, implementation, installation, commissioning, and start-up.
• Ability to travel for project installation and start-up activities, client meetings, company-sponsored meetings, training, seminars, forums, and conventions.
• Pharmaceutical or other life sciences industry experience preferred.
• Experience managing the full project life cycle from concept development through project closure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage commissioning, qualification, and validation projects for life sciences clients from concept development through project closure
• Coordinate plans, resources, and deliver integrated project execution across design, installation, start-up, commissioning, qualification, and validation
• Develop project plans and execution strategies for commissioning, qualification, and validation engagements
• Manage project resources, budgets, forecasts, schedules, engineering activities, and project documentation
• Lead project execution from concept development through design, implementation, installation, commissioning, start-up, and closure
• Coordinate commissioning, qualification, and validation activities in accordance with the approved project plan
• Drive project outcomes aligned with defined scope, schedule, budget, and client objectives
• Maintain and grow client relationships throughout project development and execution
• Support local and regional client development and expansion efforts
