Job summary

RSM US LLP is seeking an Associate to join the Consulting Quality & Risk Management (CQRM) team, with a preferred location in Chicago, IL. The role supports risk management across consulting, audit, and tax practices by reviewing contracts, RFPs, and related documents, and by developing playbooks and templates.

The successful candidate will prepare risk management plans, memoize risk issues, and advise client service teams on risk matters. Limited travel is required; CPA/MBA/LLM preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum: JD or Master of Legal Studies; strong research, writing, analytical and communications skills.
• Ability to review and apply legal standards, rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
• Ability to identify gaps in existing policies and ensure compliance.

Responsibilities

• Review engagement and subcontractor agreements, NDAs, data/privacy/security contracts, and other documents.
• Review RFPs and develop exceptions documents for engagement pursuits.
• Prepare risk management plans and issues memos to mitigate enhanced risks.
• Consult with client service teams on risk matters affecting engagements.
• Develop and update contract templates, playbooks, and training material.
• Train junior team members and assist onboarding.
