Job summary

RSM US LLP is seeking an Associate for the Consulting Quality & Risk Management team, preferably in Chicago but open to other locations. The role involves reviewing engagement and data/privacy contracts, supporting risk evaluations, and developing training materials.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and may hold a JD or Master of Legal Studies, with strong research, writing and analytical skills to ensure firm-wide policy compliance and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Strong research, writing, analytical and communications skills.
• Ability to review and apply legal standards, rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
• Ability to understand and ensure compliance with firm, lines of business, and departmental policies and procedures.
• Ability to identify gaps in or revisions to existing operational policies and practices.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion with respect to internal information.

Responsibilities

• Review of engagement agreements, NDAs, data privacy, information security and other contracts.
• Review RFPs and develop exceptions documents for engagement pursuits.
• Prepare risk management plans and memos to mitigate enhanced risks.
• Consult with client service teams on risk matters affecting engagements.
• Prepare/update contract templates, playbooks, policies and training material.
• Train junior team members and support onboarding.
