Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. in Santa Clara, CA, is seeking a CPU Silicon Bring up and Validation Engineer at multiple levels. You will work with CPU design and verification teams to develop validation plans and prepare for bring up on emulation and FPGA platforms.

You will triage silicon failures, develop test vectors, and collaborate with SOC and software teams to ensure a smooth CPU bring up and validation cycle. Strong C/C++ skills and silicon experience are required.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in CS or EE with 5+ years of CPU validation experience.
  • 3+ years in silicon validation and bring up.
  • Experience with assembly and C/C++ embedded firmware; toolchain incl assemblers, compilers, Makefiles, VCS.

Responsibilities

  • Develop CPU bring up and validation test plans with design and verification teams.
  • Prepare for CPU bring up through pre-work on emulation and FPGA platforms.
  • Coordinate with SOC bring up and software teams to plan CPU bring up.
  • Triage and debug failures on silicon and reproduce silicon fails on emulators and FPGAs.
  • Develop test contents and strategies to validate CPU features on silicon.
  • Suggest and architect new debug features to improve future CPU bring up.
