Job summary

Apple Inc. in Cupertino, CA, is seeking engineers to define and develop CPU hardware architectures, write RTL using SystemVerilog/Verilog, and ensure timing and power closure for target frequencies. You will document specifications and drive hardware design for Apple’s mobile devices.

Responsibilities include evaluating new ideas, optimizing performance and power, and contributing to silicon validation and debug processes to accelerate qualification and release of robust products.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of microprocessor architecture and memory subsystems.
• Experience with RTL design using SystemVerilog or Verilog.
• Experience with Python or Perl scripting for automation.
• Understanding of performance and power optimization in CPUs.

Responsibilities

• Define micro-architecture of the CPU hardware and RTL development.
• Perform timing and power closure for target frequency and power.
• Prepare design specification documentation and debug designs.
• Develop hardware for Apple’s mobile devices and evaluate new ideas.
