Qualifications

• In-depth expertise in clinical social work, forensic interviewing, and the advanced application of state and federal child welfare statutes.
• Proven leadership and mentorship skills, with the ability to manage high-pressure situations and support staff through secondary traumatic stress.
• Exceptional decision-making capabilities, specifically in determining safety thresholds and permanent placement outcomes.
• A commitment to administrative excellence, ensuring the unit performance meets or exceeds all regulatory and quality assurance standards.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex supervisory work in the provision of child protective services.
• Plans, assigns, and reviews the work of employees performing child protective services; performs related supervisory functions.
• Coordinates the work of the unit with inter- and intra-governmental units, community organizations and advocacy groups.
• Employees are subject to on-call status during non-business hours.
• Might be required to deal with situations which are potentially dangerous to client and worker.
• This position is for the supervision of ongoing CPS cases.
• May also assist co-supervisor with screening services.
• Performs related work as required.
• Mandatory overtime may be required for this position.
