St. Louis County is seeking a dedicated Social Worker for its Child Protection team within the Public Health and Human Services Department. The role involves assessments, intervention, case management and person-centered advocacy for Children & Family Services.

The position offers hourly wages tied to experience, with both BS and MSW options in a merit system. Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or a master’s degree in social work or counseling, plus a valid

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, sociology or closely related field OR Bachelor’s degree in any field with one year of social work experience.
• Master’s degree in social work OR related field with specialization in child or family counseling.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments, intervention, case management and advocacy for Children & Family Services.
• Work on social work cases involving voluntary and non-voluntary child protective service cases.
• Follow directives under the supervision of assigned supervisory staff.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, sociology or closely related field
