Job summary

The Oregon Department of Human Services is seeking a Child Protective Services Worker to engage with children and families, conduct safety assessments, and develop service plans in an equity-focused framework. This permanent role is based in Klamath Falls, OR, with on-site responsibilities and potential travel.

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field, or equivalent combination with experience.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field.
• One year of Human Services related experience or equivalent coursework.
• Associate degree with related experience or certification.

Responsibilities

• Respond to referrals and interview children, families and contacts.
• Assess home environments and determine abuse/neglect with protective actions.
• Develop service plans to meet needs of children and families.
• Coordinate medical evaluations, placements, and connect with services.
