Job summary

Akicita Federal is hiring an Administrative Support / Intake Worker to receive and process reports of suspected child abuse and neglect for the BIA Red Lake Agency in Red Lake, MN. This office-based role supports Indian children and families across the Red Lake Agency and satellite offices.

You will gather information using the BIA CPS Intake Form, record reporter details in FASS-CMS Cloud, check prior CPS history, and prepare cross-reports to law enforcement within 36 hours.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in a human services program, CPS intake, a crisis line, or comparable experience taking sensitive reports.
• Valid driver's license.
• U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Receive reports of suspected child abuse or neglect from all sources.
• Use the BIA CPS Intake Form and Guide to gather location, condition, alleged harm, household members, and immediate safety concerns.
• Record reporter information in FASS-CMS Cloud, complete every required field, and cross-reference earlier referrals.
• Check prior CPS history in FASS-CMS Cloud and flag prior reports, open cases, and prior removals.
• Present each intake to the BIA Social Services Program Manager with a recommended screening decision and priority level.
• Prepare written cross-reports to law enforcement within 36 hours for every report of suspected child abuse or neglect.
• Set up and maintain case files in the standard six-section format and audit files for missing documents.
• Enter and update data in FASS-CMS Cloud, run data quality checks, and send weekly deadline alerts.
