Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) seeks a Conservatorship Worker I–IV to support CPS conservatorship cases. The role emphasizes case management, court collaboration, and ensuring child safety and permanency through kinship and foster placements.

Travel up to 60% is required; the position is mobile and involves court hearings, home visits, and coordination with attorneys and agencies. A BA/BS in social work or related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent in social/human services or related field.
• Experience in social, human, or protective services recommended.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 60% across counties.

Responsibilities

• Receive cases from investigators after children are removed and placed in CPS conservatorship.
• Determine child needs and arrange referrals for services to achieve positive permanency.
• Collaborate with families, kinship providers, and legal parties to plan permanency and ensure safety.
