Job summary

The YMCA of the Lowcountry is seeking a part-time American Red Cross CPR Instructor to deliver CPR, First Aid, AED and Lifeguarding courses. The role emphasizes safety, clear instruction, and hands-on learning, aligning with the YMCA mission to strengthen the community.

Applicants should hold current ARC CPR/AED/First Aid Instructor certification and ideally Lifeguarding credentials. Flexible scheduling and a supportive learning environment are provided.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver CPR, First Aid, AED, and Lifeguarding courses in accordance with American Red Cross standards.
• Provide clear instructions, demonstrations, and hands-on skill development opportunities.
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate learning styles, skill levels and age groups.
• Evaluate participant competency through practical skills assessments and written evaluations.
• Maintain safety compliance with ARC and YMCA policies and supervise training sessions.
