Job summary

The YMCA seeks a CPR/AED and First Aid Instructor to deliver American Red Cross courses to staff, members, participants, and the community. You will prepare classrooms, demonstrate skills, and assess participant competency while ensuring a safe, inclusive environment.

Maintain ARC certifications, handle paperwork, and manage equipment. Evening/weekend shifts may be required based on course scheduling and department needs.

Qualifications

• Teach American Red Cross CPR/AED and First Aid courses per ARC standards.
• Maintain current ARC instructor certifications and credentials.
• Provide clear instruction, demonstrations, and hands-on practice of skills.
• Complete course paperwork and certification documentation accurately and timely.

Responsibilities

• Teach ARC CPR/AED and First Aid courses to staff, members, participants, and community.
• Prepare classrooms, training areas, equipment, and instructional materials.
• Provide feedback and coaching to participants throughout the course.
• Maintain a safe, professional, and inclusive learning environment.
• Maintain training equipment and supplies and communicate deficiencies.
