Job summary

LexisNexis Risk Solutions seeks a detail-oriented CPQ Business Analyst to support in-house Configure, Price, Quote, and Contract platform development. You will liaison between business contacts and software teams, gathering actionable requirements and translating pricing logic for developers.

This role is remote in the US or hybrid from a local US office, with opportunities to influence pricing strategies and optimize CPQ processes within an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 3–7+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst.
• Experience in an Agile environment (Agile, SCRUM, KANBAN).
• Experience with CPQ tools (custom-built or platforms like Salesforce CPQ, Oracle CPQ).
• Strong understanding of pricing strategies, discounts, or revenue management concepts.
• Proven ability to translate complex business processes into technical requirements.
• Excellent communication skills across business and technical teams.
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze working group data and document functional requirements for the CPQ platform.
• Collaborate with Pricing team to gather and document business requirements for the CPQ system.
• Translate pricing logic into detailed functional requirements for developers.
• Serve as liaison between business stakeholders and IT/engineering teams.
• Clarify requirements with developers and ensure accurate implementation.
• Validate functionality through testing, QA support, and SME testing.
• Maintain documentation of pricing logic and system behavior within CPQ.

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically strong CPQ Business Analyst to support our in-house creation of a Configure, Price, Quote, and Contract platform. This role acts as the critical liaison between the business contacts and the software development team, gathering actionable functional requirements. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of pricing concepts, exceptional documentation skills, and experience working with custom software or CPQ systems in an Agile/iterative development environment.

This role is open to candidates who wish to be Remote in the US or hybrid from one of our local US offices.

Responsibilities

• The role will predominately focus on gathering and analyzing working group data, identifying current processes and areas for improvement, researching best practices and documenting functional requirements for the software development team
• Partner closely with the Pricing team to gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to new CPQ system
• Translate complex pricing logic into detailed functional requirements for developers
• Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT/software engineering teams
• Work with developers to clarify requirements, answer questions, and ensure accurate implementation
• Validate delivered functionality through testing, QA support, and SME testing
• Maintain documentation of pricing logic, workflows, and system behavior within the CPQ platform
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, automation, and system capabilities
• Support ongoing enhancements, defect triage, and prioritization of backlog items
• Maintain stakeholder expectations and raises appropriate issues to senior roles
• Communicates effectively with business subject matter experts and the delivery team(s)

Requirements

• 3–7+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst
• Experience of working in an agile environment and using recognized development methodology e.g., Agile, SCRUM, KANBAN
• Experience working with CPQ tools (custom-built or platforms like Salesforce CPQ, Oracle CPQ, etc.)
• Strong understanding of pricing strategies, discounting, or revenue management concepts
• Proven ability to translate complex business processes into technical requirements
• Excellent communication skills, with ability to work across business and technical teams
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail

U.S. National Base Pay Range: $71,600 - $119,400. Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates.

• Base Pay Range for IL is $75,200 - $125,500.
• Base Pay Range for Chicago, IL is $78,700 - $131,400.
• Base Pay Range for MD is $75,200 - $125,500.
• Base Pay Range for NY is $78,700 - $131,400.
• Base Pay Range for New York City is $85,900 - $143,300.
• Base Pay Range for Rochester, NY is $71,600 - $119,400.
• Base Pay Range for OH is $68,000 - $113,400.
• Base Pay Range for NJ is $84,546- $135,054.

This job is eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
