Job summary

Glenmont Job Corps Center is seeking a motivated CPP Instructor to help newly enrolled students begin their Job Corps journey. You will teach Career Preparation, coach students, and mentor them toward achieving goals while maintaining a supportive classroom and accurate records.

In this role you’ll guide students through pre-arrival activities, orientation, and transitions into academics and career training. A high school diploma is required; in-state driver’s license is also needed.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • A degree from an accredited school preferred.
  • Must possess a valid in-state Driver's License.
  • Previous group facilitation, teaching or Job Corps experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Teach & Prepare — Provide engaging Career Preparation instruction and help students develop skills.
  • Build Career Goals — Help students identify interests, establish career goals, and develop individualized achievement plans.
  • Track Student Progress — Monitor performance, identify students who may need additional support, and help keep them moving toward successful CPP completion.
  • Coach & Mentor — Build positive professional relationships while helping students develop confidence, accountability, and independence.
  • Create a Positive Classroom — Maintain an organized, engaging, and supportive learning environment with clear expectations.
  • Help Students Transition — Prepare students to move successfully from Career Preparation into academics, Career Technical Training, and other areas of the Job Corps program.
  • Maintain Accurate Records — Complete required student documentation and follow all program integrity and reporting requirements.
