Job summary

PBG is seeking a detail-focused professional to support CPIC processes and capital planning for federal clients. The role is primarily remote, with occasional in-person meetings at client sites in Washington, DC, or PBG offices in McLean, VA. A SECRET clearance is required or attainable.

The candidate will create CPIC reviews, train teams, develop project plans, and deliver high-quality presentations to senior leaders, while coordinating with investment owners and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with CPIC phases and large investments.
  • IT management knowledge.
  • Federal Civilian consulting experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Office: SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to obtain SECRET clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with investment owners to meet agency standards.
  • Create briefings for investment owners and CPIC teams.
  • Develop high-impact presentations for senior leaders.

  • Support day-to-day CPIC activities with client team.
  • Review and provide feedback on reviews and business cases.
  • Provide performance analyses and metrics benchmarks.
  • Enter monthly investment and project status data into PM tools.

Job description

PBG delivers mission-focused solutions that eliminate inefficiency and power transformation for federal agencies requiring agility, security, and impact.

This position will be primarily remote, although occasional hybrid (in person attendance optional) meetings may be held at the client’s site in Washington, or at the PBG Offices in McLean, VA; once or twice a quarter at the most. The option to work onsite at either the client side or the PBG office is available for those that prefer an in-person setting.

Candidates must possess an active Secret clearance or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance as a condition of employment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performs business analysis and capital planning functions associated with the Capital Planning Investment Control (CPIC) process.
  • Works closely with investment owners on compliance with agency standards.
  • Create briefings for investment owners and the client CPIC team, as well as their management, on the outcomes of reviews, e.g., Quarterly Scoring Results.
  • Create high-impact presentations for senior client leaders.
  • Create and maintain project plans and related documents.
  • Develop and present CPIC training.
  • Work closely with the client CPIC team on the day-to-day CPIC activities.
  • Review and provide feedback on Control reviews and Business Cases in the portfolio management tool and in other formats.
  • Provide performance analysis and benchmarking, with development or enhancement of performance measures/metrics.
  • Assist in evaluating and entering monthly investment and project status data into the agency’s portfolio management tool.
Required Skills/Certifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of working experience
  • Some experience with in at least one CPIC phase and managing/supporting large investments
  • Some knowledge of related IT management experience
  • Some knowledge of project and customer management experience in Federal Civilian consulting environment
  • Expertise in using all Microsoft Suite Products (including: SharePoint, Excel, and Power Point)
  • Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance
