Job summary

Texas Department of Family and Protective Services in Austin, TX seeks a CPI Investigative Supervisor I/II to lead a unit conducting Investigations and AR cases. You will provide case consultations, performance oversight, and ensure safety and compliance in line with policy and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 2 years CPI/CPS casework in a public agency.
• 60 college credits plus 4 years CPI/CPS casework experience.
• 90 college credits plus 3.5 years CPI/CPS casework experience.
• Current CPI Supervisor I in Family and Protective Services.

Responsibilities

• Oversees safety, risk, and permanency daily; ensure timely contact and documentation.
• Manage staff time, leave, and performance; conduct unit meetings and training.
• Hire, coach, and evaluate unit staff; conduct monthly performance conferences.
• Coordinate with internal/external stakeholders and prepare high‑level reports.
