Job summary

Douglas County School District is seeking a Behavior Technician at Bear Canyon Elementary in Colorado to implement skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction plans under supervision. The role involves data collection (ABC data, frequency data) and collaboration with district specialists.

You will help model and deliver interventions and support school staff with behavioral plans. Requirements include High School or Equivalent and RBT certification; CPI certification may be pursued after hire.

Qualifications

• Must have High School or equivalent.
• RBT certification is required.
• Experience with data collection and behavior intervention plans is desirable.
• CPI certification may be pursued after hire.

Responsibilities

• Implement skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction plans.
• Collect student data in collaboration with specialist (e.g., ABC data, frequency data).
• Attend meetings (planning, IEP, team) and collaborate with school staff.
• Provide coaching and modeling to staff on interventions.
• Assist with design/delivery of introductory intervention structures (visual schedules, work systems).
• Maintain professional conduct and collaborate with stakeholders.
