Job summary

Confidential Company is seeking an accounting/finance professional in Boston, MA, to support general ledger, close processes, and deductions management. The role also covers budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A activities to provide timely financial reporting to the management team.

You will work under the Vice President Finance & Administration and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and drive accurate financial analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred.
• 3-5 years of accounting/finance experience.
• Entry-level FP&A exposure including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling a plus.
• Consumer goods experience preferred.
• High character and integrity.
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate passion for and expertise in the accounting function, activities, and processes.
• Assist with month-end close including reconciliations, journal entries, and close support.
• Analyze indirect trade spend weekly and present findings to cross-functional teams.
• Follow up on outstanding issues weekly to ensure deduction validation and payback.
• Manage invalid indirect deductions by tracking information and using customer portals to recover funds.
• Assist in settling trade-related deductions and dispute invalid deductions with sales.
• Lead ad-hoc projects to improve accounting processes.
• Support entry-level FP&A functions including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Assist in building and maintaining financial models to support business decisions.
• Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analysis for management.
