Job summary

Atlas Medical Consultants is seeking a skilled Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT) to perform precise diagnostic pulmonary function tests in a patient-centered medical office. You will ensure high-quality testing, accuracy in data management, and strict adherence to safety protocols.

The ideal candidate holds CPFT certification (RPFT encouraged), an associate degree or higher in respiratory care, and a valid state license with BLS.

Qualifications

• Active CPFT credential awarded by NBRC; RPFT also encouraged.
• Associate degree (or higher) from a CoARC-accredited respiratory care program or 62+ credits including biology and math with clinical experience.
• Valid state respiratory care practitioner license (if applicable) and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Administer comprehensive pulmonary function tests including spirometry, volumes, DLCO, and bronchial provocation challenges.
• Instruct, coach, and support patients to ensure maximum effort and accuracy while maintaining a compassionate environment.
• Perform daily calibrations, quality control procedures, and troubleshooting of PFT equipment per ATS/ERS standards.
• Accurately record patient data, preliminary results, and QC logs in the EMR for physician interpretation.
• Adhere to safety and infection control protocols when handling testing equipment.
