Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare seeks a pastoral care resident to provide clinical pastoral services and participate in the ACPE residency program within the Mary Washington Hospital system. You will collaborate with other pastoral care providers to deliver essential spiritual support to patients, families, and staff.

This role includes on-call coverage and involvement in religious and spiritual programs, contributing to education and outreach across the health system.

Qualifications

• Theological training from a recognized college, seminary, or denominational school.
• 1 unit of introductory ACPE Clinical Pastoral Education.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrates the ability to work well with diverse groups.
• Ability to function in diverse health system entities.

Responsibilities

• Provides pastoral care to patients, families, and staff as part of Mary Washington Hospital and Healthcare System.
• Participates in the ACPE Clinical Pastoral Education residency program.
• Provides on-call pastoral care and supports religious/spiritual services as appropriate.
• Collaborates with other pastoral care providers within the Mary Washington Healthcare System.
• Maintains reporting relationships and participates in staff meetings and training.
