Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking an ACPE Certified Educator to lead Clinical Pastoral Education and deliver spiritual care across clinical areas. You will develop curriculum, supervise students, and collaborate with the Pastoral Care Department while providing on-call coverage and educational leadership.

The role requires certification, a college degree and theological graduate education, plus significant chaplaincy training.

Qualifications

• ACPE Educator certification required; associate cert acceptable.
• College degree and master's level theological degree or equivalent.
• Several years of clinical chaplaincy training and supervision.
• Ordination or commissioning for ministry by a recognized religious group.
• Endorsement for chaplaincy by a recognized religious group.
• Board certified chaplain preferred.

Responsabilités

• Conduces programs of CPE training according to ACPE standards.
• Participates in planning and administration of the CPE program.
• Designs curriculum for student-centered learning.
• Conducts admissions interviews and handles materials.
• Evaluates and comments on students' writings; writes evaluative reports.
• Oversees in-service education to enhance staff understanding of pastoral care.
• Provides pastoral care coverage in collaboration with the Director of Pastoral Care.
• Evaluates spiritual needs and coordinates care with entity staff.
• Maintains records of pastoral activity and participates in quality improvement.
