IHA in Michigan is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician II to decontaminate, assemble, package, and sterilize instruments for hospital departments. This role supports efficient case flow and responds to health care provider needs with an evening shift and on-call weekends as per CBA.
Requirements include a high school diploma, completion of a sterile processing program, certification, and at least one year in sterile processing; membership in the Central Sterile Processing Professional
Performs tasks to decontaminate, prepare and package medical – surgical supplies. Unloads, sorts and picks up linen from semi-trailer and delivers to departments. Completes sterilization procedures, monitors processed storage and distribution of medical – surgical supplies to various areas.

The Sterile Processing Technician II ( SPT ) provides hospital and affiliated facilities with processed materials and equipment by executing established procedures for decontamination, assembly, packaging, and sterilization. Maintains efficient flow of processing procedures, through appropriate case set‑up, anticipation of health care provider requests and patient care needs.
