Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) required.
• Minimum 2 years coding and/or medical billing experience.
• Workers' Compensation and Auto coding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately code and post procedures and office visits utilizing AMA CPT guidelines and modifiers.
• Track and ensure accurate postings of all procedures and office visits.
• Assist billing representatives with denied claims due to coding issues.
• Communicate with billing representatives regarding denial trends with insurance companies.
• Stay current on Medicare and insurance policy changes related to our specialty.
• Counsel providers regarding coding and documentation compliance and coding practices.
