Job summary

Sarasota Memorial Health Care System's DepartmentFPG Central Billing Office seeks a skilled medical coder to identify and apply ICD-10 diagnostic and CPT procedural codes for claims processing, data retrieval and analysis.

You will handle patient financial activities, ensuring accurate entry of insurance benefits, authorizations and related data to support complete and accurate claims in a high-volume setting.

Qualifications

• Require a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a physician office.
• Require a minimum of one (1) year of CPT and ICD physician coding experience.
• Require CPC or CCS-P or CGSC, or certify within one year of employment.
• HS Diploma or GED or Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Identify and apply ICD-10 diagnostic and CPT procedural codes for claims processing, data retrieval and analysis.
• Enter insurance benefits, authorizations and other activities to ensure complete and accurate claims.
