Job summary

ARAUCO North America, Inc. in Bennettsville, SC is seeking an Industrial Electrician to maintain electrical and mechanical systems in our manufacturing facility. You will troubleshoot, perform PM/PdM activities, and collaborate with operators and supervisors to keep production running smoothly.

The role starts 7am-3:30pm, M-F, with a transition to rotating shifts after training. We value reliability, safety, and teamwork while supporting growth and learning opportunities.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; trade education preferred.
  • 3 years of AC/DC motor control and electrical troubleshooting; PLC experience preferred.
  • Experience in industrial manufacturing; CMMS familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to mill breakdowns and investigate root causes.
  • Complete work orders, participate in PM/PdM activities, and aid in preventive maintenance plans.
  • Collaborate with operators, supervisors, planners, and peers to resolve issues and ensure smooth shift transitions.
  • Maintain Electrical Logbook, enter follow-up work requests, and provide shift pass-down information.
  • Identify and address quality and safety issues; support operations during upset conditions.

What we are looking for:

  • High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary mechanical/electrical or trade education preferred.
  • Three years of AC & DC motor control (including drives) and electrical troubleshooting preferred; two to three years of PLC experience preferred.
  • Experience in an industrial manufacturing facility and familiarity with CMMS preferred.
  • Must be able to work at heights in a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to work extended hours and rotating shifts as required.

In this role, you would:

  • Respond promptly to mill breakdowns, investigate root causes of equipment failures, and implement long-term solutions to improve reliability.
  • Complete assigned work orders, participate in PM/PdM activities, and assist in developing preventive maintenance plans for assigned areas.
  • Work closely with operators, supervisors, planners, and peers to resolve maintenance issues, communicate updates, and ensure a smooth shift transition.
  • Maintain an up-to-date Electrical Logbook, enter work requests for follow-up tasks, and provide shift pass-down information to oncoming technicians.
  • Identify and address quality and safety issues, support operations during upset conditions, and participate in maintenance and functional team meetings.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to move freely throughout the facility, including climbing stairs and ladders, and navigating around equipment and machinery.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and crouch as necessary to inspect and maintain equipment.
  • Capability to lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 70 pounds
  • Ability to perform physical tasks that involve lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying heavy objects.
  • Endurance to stand and walk for extended periods, often in environments with dust, chemicals, high noise levels and varying temperatures.
