Oldcastle APG is seeking a highly motivated Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The position reports to the Assistant Controller and supports the Finance Department with general accounting and controls functions in a hybrid setting.

The role emphasizes accurate journal entries, month-end close processes, account analysis, and collaboration with auditors and management to safeguard financial assets.

Responsibilities

• Record both monthly and standard journal entries to the general ledger
• Ensure timely and accurate month end closing
• Perform account analysis and reconciliation for both balance sheet and expense G/L accounts
• Perform financial analysis as requested by the Controller and other management
• Support operating plants, AP and AR functions as requested
• Run daily and month-end reports for management
• Assist with request related to internal and external audits
• Ensure internal controls are maintained to safeguard the financial assets of the company
