Menzies Aviation is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee the Americas general ledger, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial analysis. You will collaborate with the Financial Controller and management to improve profitability, efficiency and regulatory compliance across a multinational environment.

Qualifications

• CPA is required.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting from a four-year college or university is required.
• Big Four public accounting experience is preferred but not required.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills.
• Able to remain calm under pressure.
• Demonstrate a strong business acumen.
• Computer literate with proficiency in Excel.
• Solid technical accounting background and understanding of GAAP.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence at all levels.
• Must be able to pass a thorough security/background check.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Assist with managing the month-end close process.
• Manage and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure reconciling items are cleared on time.
• Maintain the general ledger with adequate audit support for journal entries and accurate postings.
• Review and analyze financial statements and adjustments.
• Coordinate audits and deliverables for financial, regulatory, and station audits.
• Provide technical accounting guidance to Finance team when needed.
• Collaborate with G/L, AP, AR, Tax, Billing and Payroll to resolve accounting issues.
• Identify and implement process improvements to improve reporting efficiency.
• Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate reporting.
• Assist with interviewing, hiring, and training employees; performance management.
• Adhere to safety policies and company regulations.
