Job summary

Tradewind Aviation is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to join our Middlebury, CT corporate office. You will lead the monthly close, prepare financial statements, manage intercompany accounts, inventory and fixed assets, and drive internal controls in partnership with the Controller.

The role requires strong GAAP knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to lead and influence a team. CPA/CMA is a plus; public accounting experience is valued. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with strong US GAAP knowledge.
• Experience leading close processes and building internal controls.
• Public accounting experience is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly financial close, ensure GAAP-compliant statements.
• Prepare financial statements and intercompany reconciliations.
• Oversee inventory and fixed assets accounting; analyze variances.
• Lead the annual physical inventory and control improvements.
• Coordinate with external auditors and support policy development.
