Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site CPA role based in Bloomfield Hills, MI. The CPA will prepare and review individual and business tax returns, compile and analyze financial statements, and perform general accounting functions for a diverse client portfolio. Responsibilities include providing tax planning advice, identifying opportunities for savings and risk mitigation, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The role also involves assisting with audits and assurance engagements, supporting business valuation and consulting projects, and communicating clearly with clients about financial results and recommendations. The CPA will collaborate with team members, maintain accurate records, and use accounting and tax software to deliver timely, high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Strong accounting and finance skills, including Accounting and Finance, with the ability to interpret and apply relevant standards.
• Experience in preparing and analyzing Financial Statements, including compilations, reviews, and related reporting.
• Proficiency in Tax Preparation, including individual, corporate, and pass-through entities, and familiarity with tax planning concepts.
• Active or eligible Certified Public Accounting (CPA) license, or clear path toward obtaining CPA certification.
• Proficiency with accounting and tax software (e.g., QuickBooks, tax preparation platforms) and solid Excel skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree in accounting or taxation is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to clients.
• Experience in public accounting or a similar professional services environment is preferred.
• Commitment to professional ethics, client service, and continuous learning in accounting and tax regulations.
