Role Description

This is a full-time Certified Public Accountant role based in Kennewick, WA, structured as a hybrid position with both in-office and work-from-home flexibility. The CPA will prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, ensure accurate general ledger entries, and support month-end and year-end close processes. Day-to-day responsibilities include tax preparation and planning for individuals and businesses, maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and assisting with audits or reviews as needed. The role also involves advising clients on accounting and finance matters, identifying opportunities to improve financial controls, and presenting clear, actionable insights. The CPA will collaborate with internal team members and clients, manage multiple engagements, and use accounting software and related tools to deliver reliable and efficient services.

Qualifications

• Strong accounting and finance skills, including Accounting and Finance knowledge, with the ability to interpret and apply relevant standards and regulations.
• Proficiency in Financial Statements preparation and analysis, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and related reporting.
• Demonstrated experience in Tax Preparation, including individual and business returns, tax planning, and compliance with applicable tax laws.
• Active Certified Public Accounting (CPA) license (or CPA eligibility within a defined timeframe) and commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Experience with accounting software, spreadsheets, and financial reporting tools; strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment, manage deadlines across multiple clients, and maintain high ethical standards and confidentiality.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; prior public accounting or client-facing experience is highly beneficial.
