Role Description

This is a full-time position for a Certified Public Accountant at Pfeffer, Hanniford and Palka, CPAs, located in Brighton, MI. As a CPA, you will perform a wide range of accounting, auditing, tax, and consulting activities for clients. The Manager holds advanced technical and supervisory responsibilities, including:

1. Preparation and review of tax returns for clients in various industries, ensuring compliance with current tax laws.
2. Supervising, training, and mentoring tax staff.
3. Reviewing audits, reviews, and compilations, with a bonus for governmental auditing experience.
4. Reviewing financial statements and disclosures for accuracy and completeness.
5. Identifying audit and risk management issues, proposing solutions, and collaborating with partners.
6. Serving as the primary client contact for complex issues, fostering positive relationships.
7. Overseeing the planning, fieldwork, and wrap-up with seniors and staff.
8. Staying current on industry developments and standards to evaluate impacts on client engagements.
