San Mateo County Parks Department is recruiting for a Seasonal Park Aide to work primarily at Coyote Point Marina. The Park Aide will perform routine park duties such as cleaning restrooms, litter pick‑up, landscape maintenance, weed control, line trimming, debris removal and general facilities maintenance. The Park Aide will also perform dock repairs and assist marina staff with emergency response aboard the Harbor Patrol boat, periodically staff the marina office, interact with boat owners, sell fuel and ice, and accept rent payments.
The position requires working weekends, holidays and some flexibility with hours. It may also require driving to different marina locations and handling power‑driven tools and machines. Candidates must have a valid California driver’s license (or equivalent), be at least 18 years old at the date of hire (FLSA restrictions), and be able to swim unaided in open water.

This is an extra‑help recruitment. Anyone may apply. Candidates who pass the screening will be invited to a panel interview (weight: 100%). Depending on the number of applicants, an application appraisal of education and experience may be used in place of other examinations or further evaluation of work experience may be conducted to group applicants by level of qualification. Applicants who meet the minimum qualifications are not guaranteed advancement through any subsequent phase of the examination.
All examinations will be given in San Mateo County, California, and applicants must participate at their own expense.
