Job summary

San Mateo County Parks Department is seeking a Seasonal Park Aide to work primarily at Coyote Point Marina. The Park Aide will perform routine Park duties such as cleaning restrooms, litter pick-up, landscape maintenance, weed control, line trimming, debris removal and general facilities maintenance.

The Park Aide will perform dock repairs and assist marina staff with Emergency Response aboard the Harbor Patrol boat. This is an extra-help recruitment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of park safety regulations and maintenance practices.
• Ability to drive and operate light vehicles and equipment safely.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
• Landscape and grounds maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Clean restrooms and keep park facilities tidy.
• Litter pick-up, weed control, trimming, and debris removal.
• Dock repairs and assist marina staff with emergency response on Harbor Patrol boat.
• Staff marina office, interact with boat owners, sell fuel and ice, and collect rent payments.
• Work weekends/holidays and be flexible with hours.
