Job summary

Chatham Financial Corporation is seeking a Covenant Data Specialist within its Investment Management team. You will ensure institutional real estate investors obtain accurate covenant information, translating complex loan language into a standardized data structure and performing thorough quality-control reviews.

You will identify inconsistencies, apply data conventions across diverse loans, and partner with data, implementation, and advisory teams to resolve interpretive questions about loan

Qualifications

• Experience reading and interpreting commercial loan documents or other complex legal or financial agreements.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and completeness.
• Familiarity with commercial real estate lending concepts and covenants.

Responsibilities

• Review loan agreements, amendments, guaranties, promissory notes and other documents to identify covenants.
• Interpret covenant provisions, definitions, testing periods, cure provisions and related terms.
• Translate varied legal language into a standardized covenant data structure.
• Distinguish substantive requirements from supporting language and flag ambiguities.
• Perform QA reviews of covenant data against underlying documents for accuracy.
