Job summary

Aimbridge Hospitality seeks a Chief Engineer for Courtyard Atlanta Decatur Downtown/Emory. You will lead the engineering team, oversee preventive maintenance, and ensure safety and service levels meet brand standards.

In this role, you’ll manage repairs, inspections, and daily operations while maintaining guest comfort and cost controls. A supervisory background and relevant licenses are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years hotel/related experience, or 2-year degree with 3+ years, or 4-year degree with 2+ years.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Current certifications as required (e.g., HVAC, pool, electrical).
• Licensed to operate/repair boilers and chillers per local laws.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Calm under pressure
• Financial and arithmetic proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance: Keep all rooms and public spaces in top condition according to standards.
• Lead, train, and schedule engineering team members.
• Run fire safety inspections and drills.
• Respond to maintenance requests to boost guest service scores.
• Patrol grounds and manage Lost and Found.
• Access sensitive areas responsibly and represent the company with sound judgment.
