Job summary

The Office of the District Attorney, Bronx County is seeking a Reporter/Stenographer to take verbatim Grand Jury testimony, produce transcripts with Case Catalyst, and maintain accurate case records. You will appear in court to testify to transcript accuracy and transcribe audio for ADAs during hearings and trials.

Minimum qualifications include stenotype proficiency at 175 wpm, a high school diploma, and at least one year of DA office experience.

Qualifications

• Stenotype proficiency at 175 words per minute with two-voice dictation.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of satisfactory experience in a DA office.

Responsibilities

• Take verbatim Grand Jury testimony on a stenographic machine.
• Operate Case Catalyst with a personal dictionary to produce transcripts promptly.
• Keep accurate records and files of cases.
• Appear in court to testify to transcript accuracy.
• Transcribe audio files for ADAs for hearings and trials.
• Other duties as assigned.
