Qualifications

• Must be at least 19 years old.
• Citizen of the United States.
• No felony or misdemeanor involving perjury or false statement.
• Pass medical examination including cardio-pulmonary stress test, hearing/vision tests, and other screenings.
• Pass thorough background investigation including polygraph and psychological testing.
• Be of good moral character; pass drug/alcohol testing.
• Have high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Protects the safety and security of the courtroom and all participants.
• Arrests suspects, completes arrest forms, and advises of rights.
• Transports/escorts inmates and individuals as appropriate.
• Completes related paperwork and maintains courtroom records.
• Operates telephone and two-way radio equipment.
• Wears a firearm and demonstrates proficiency with law enforcement equipment.
• Performs related work as required.
