Job summary

Pascua Yaqui Tribe Judicial Branch is seeking a Judicial Security Officer to perform security for facilities and grounds. You will screen entrants for contraband and weapons, provide courtroom security, and respond to alarms and emergencies.

Responsibilities include escorting disruptive individuals, maintaining secure courtrooms, and generating daily activity or incident reports. Must have a High School Diploma or GED and one year of experience; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and one year of experience or equivalent combination
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred (as per preferred note)
• Courtroom or security experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Screen individuals entering the facility for contraband, narcotics, and weapons.
• Provide security presence and escorts for court proceedings.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies; patrol assigned areas.
• Prepare and review daily activity and incident reports.
• Ensure courtrooms are secure and alarms are managed during business hours.
• Provide after-hours security for emergency proceedings and weekends.
• Monitor building and parking areas to maintain a safe environment.
• Assist community members and direct them to appropriate offices or courtrooms.
• Assess emergencies and take appropriate protective actions.
• Operate communication equipment and perform related duties as needed.
