Essential Job Functions:

1. Bag groceries at checkout, aiming for at least five items per bag without damage.
2. Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
3. Assist in removing customer's merchandise from the bottom of shopping carts for checkout.
4. Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
5. Perform basic shelf conditioning and restocking.
6. Inform customers of grocery specials.
7. Return merchandise to store shelves.
8. Gather and return shopping carts to designated areas.
9. Clean spills, collect trash inside the store and parking lot.
10. Maintain cleanliness of all store areas.
11. Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
12. Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
13. Reinforce safety procedures, report unsafe conditions or incidents.
14. Follow all food safety regulations and guidelines.
15. Inspect equipment regularly and report repairs needed.
16. Create a welcoming environment, answer customer questions about products.
17. Comply with all laws, regulations, and company policies.
18. Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
19. Manage conflicts calmly and cooperatively.
20. Act with honesty and integrity with customer and business information.
21. Follow directions and seek help when needed to resolve issues.
22. Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
