Responsibilities:

• Bag groceries at checkout efficiently, aiming for at least five items per bag without damage.
• Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
• Assist in removing merchandise from shopping carts for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their vehicles.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and restocking.
• Inform customers about grocery specials and return merchandise to shelves.
• Gather and return shopping carts to designated areas.
• Maintain cleanliness by cleaning spills and collecting trash inside and outside the store.
• Handle seasonal merchandise and assist with store layout understanding, product location, and price checks.
• Support safety programs by following procedures, identifying hazards, and reporting issues.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Inspect equipment regularly and report repairs needed.
• Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers and answering questions about products.
• Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
