Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

• Bag groceries at check out for customers, aiming for at least five items per bag without damage.
• Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
• Assist in removing customer merchandise from baskets for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to store shelves and gather/basket bascarts.
• Maintain cleanliness by cleaning spills, trash, and all areas inside and outside the store.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
• Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
• Reinforce safety programs, report unsafe conditions, and comply with safety procedures.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers with questions about products.
• Follow all applicable laws and company policies.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment and manage conflicts calmly.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
• Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
