Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

• Bag groceries at check out for customers, striving for at least five items per bag without damage.
• Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
• Assist in removing customer's merchandise from the bottom of baskets for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to store shelves and gather/return shopping carts.
• Clean spills, pick up trash inside the store and parking lot, and maintain all areas inside and outside the store.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise and understand store layout for product location and price checks.
• Reinforce safety programs, comply with safety procedures, and report unsafe conditions or incidents.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Inspect equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and notify management of repairs.
• Create a welcoming environment, answer customer questions, and assist with product information.
• Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment, managing conflict appropriately.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
• Support and assist customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
