Responsibilities include:

• Bagging groceries efficiently at checkout, ensuring contents are not damaged and aiming for at least five items per bag.
• Following best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
• Assisting in removing customer's merchandise from bottom of bascarts during checkout.
• Offering to help customers load bags into their cars.
• Performing basic shelf conditioning and returning merchandise to shelves.
• Informing customers of grocery specials.
• Gathering and returning bascarts to designated areas.
• Cleaning spills, collecting trash inside and outside the store.
• Handling seasonal merchandise.
• Understanding store layout, locating products, and conducting price checks for cashiers.
• Reinforcing safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions or accidents.
• Adhering to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Inspecting equipment and reporting repair needs.
• Creating a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions about products.
• Following all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Working cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Managing conflict calmly and cooperatively.
• Acting with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
