Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

1. Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger is responsible for bagging groceries at check out for customers.
2. Assist in removing customer's merchandise from bottom of basket for checkout.
3. Offer to help customers with loading bags into their car.
4. Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.
5. Return merchandise to store shelves and gather shopping carts for return.
6. Maintain cleanliness by cleaning spills, trash, and all areas inside and outside the store.
7. Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise and understand store layout for locating products and conducting price checks.
8. Reinforce safety programs, follow safety procedures, and report unsafe conditions or incidents.
9. Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
10. Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting repairs.
11. Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers and answering product questions.
12. Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
13. Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment and manage conflicts effectively.
14. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
15. Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
16. Support and assist with customers with minors, those with special needs, and older adults.
17. Perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

Minimum Position Qualifications:
