Job Description: Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger

Responsibilities include:

1. Bagging groceries at checkout, aiming for at least five items per bag without damage.
2. Following best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
3. Assisting in removing merchandise from shopping carts for checkout.
4. Offering to help customers load bags into their cars.
5. Performing basic shelf conditioning and restocking.
6. Informing customers about grocery specials.
7. Returning merchandise to shelves and gathering shopping carts.
8. Cleaning spills, collecting trash inside and outside the store.
9. Handling seasonal merchandise and understanding store layout for product location and price checks.
10. Reinforcing safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions or accidents.
11. Adhering to food safety regulations and guidelines.
12. Inspecting equipment and notifying management of repairs needed.
13. Creating a welcoming environment by engaging with customers and answering questions.
14. Following all laws, regulations, and company policies.
15. Working cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
16. Managing conflicts professionally and acting with honesty and integrity.
