Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

1. Bag groceries at checkout, striving for at least five items per bag without damage.
2. Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
3. Assist in removing customer merchandise from baskets for checkout.
4. Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
5. Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.
6. Return merchandise to shelves and gather bascarts for return.
7. Clean spills, pick up trash inside and outside the store.
8. Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
9. Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks.
10. Reinforce safety procedures, report unsafe conditions or accidents.
11. Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
12. Inspect equipment and report repairs needed.
13. Create a welcoming environment for customers and assist with product inquiries.
14. Follow all laws, regulations, and company policies.
15. Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
16. Manage conflicts cooperatively and act with honesty and integrity.
17. Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
18. Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
