Responsibilities:
- Bag groceries at checkout, striving for at least five items per bag while avoiding damage.
- Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
- Assist in removing customer's merchandise from the bottom of shopping carts for checkout.
- Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
- Perform basic shelf conditioning and restocking.
- Inform customers about grocery specials.
- Return merchandise to store shelves and gather shopping carts for return.
- Maintain cleanliness by cleaning spills, collecting trash inside and outside the store.
- Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
- Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
- Follow safety procedures, report unsafe conditions, and adhere to food safety regulations.
- Inspect equipment for preventive maintenance and report repairs needed.
- Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions about products.
- Comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
- Manage conflicts calmly and cooperatively.
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
- Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
- Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
